We started Smarter Rent to better advise investors on property puchases.

We quickly realised that a reliable investment needs to start with renters: understanding deeply what matters to them and creating homes and a service that actually caters to their needs. By taking this approach, we're able to fix an industry where renters are often seen as a commodity and investors accept low yields.

Our story

Since 2018, we’ve been working non-stop to create a service that’s designed better, thinks smarter and works harder. All to create positive change in an industry where renters are too often forgotten about. Today, our talented team is based out of our office in Richmond, a space we’re proud to call home - and where all our great ideas happen.

Unlike the rest of the industry, our renters are our clients. So far, we’ve helped over 2,000 of them find an exceptional rental property that doesn’t compromise on quality. This comes from our mission to create beautiful homes where everyone is comfortable to be, and our vision for a world where homes unlock our greatest possibilities.
